Too bad about Pettas. I didnt know about him fighting since I had gone on holliday before it was announced, but I realy would have tought he would win over Hari.
Was Pettas forced to quit due to the injury, or was it a "real" TKO? Exept for the end, how did the rest of the fight go? (I have not seen the event yet). Also, Schilt beat Graham on decision. Musashi beat the put shot guy by KO, but not until the 3rd round.

It seemed unfortunate for Sensei Pettas.. it looked like Sensei had dislocated his arm or shoulder.

Respect to Pettas for getting in there once again. I like his samurai outfit!
Hari is looking good. I expect big things from this man in 2007 PS. Martin why would you think of Pettas as the favourite? He was a big underdog in my eyes o.O

Of course, the fact that I am on the "hate Hari" bandwagon, and that Pettas is Kyokushin, might have a tiny bit to do with it too :-)

Nicholas said on his blog that his arm was broken at the end of first round. He went back for the second round just for the spirit , you can see that he is not punching anymore and then he got hit again and he had to stop. The fight was pretty even before that , Nicholas has a lot of power in his kicks...who knows what the result might have been.

Badr Hari is much more experienced in K-1 and Muay Thai rules than Nichollas Pettas. He was the favourite here. I think Pettas has improved but he needs to fight more often in K-1 to get back on track. He should fight Musashi again and maybe some other japanese fighters (such as Tatsufumi Tomihira, Yusuke Fujimoto, Hiraku Hori, Tsuyoshi Nakasako) first and then others such as Pettar Mastorovic, Pavel Majer, Alexander Ustinov, Poul Slowinski, ... Afterwards he could start taking on bigger opponents such as Ruslan Karaev, Glaube Feitosa, Remy Bonjasky and then maybe (who knows??) a rematch with Jerome Lebanner or Stefan Leko.
