Most welcome, Bloke. I called most of them right, but I'm surprised at the number of fights that went the distance. I hope the card for the 19th plays out a little differently. Osu!

I was pretty bummed with the main fight.
Jackson looked like he called it in and Griffin was using some good stuff but also some very sloppy striking. Overall the rest of the fights were pretty good though. ![]()

I haven't seen the fights, but in a brazilian forum that i participate (in portuguese), people were really angry because os the Forrest X Jackson fight. What do you guys think?....Is the result fair? or Jackson won the fight? People are saying that the result was fixed. I really don't know.
Tks, OSU! |

I think the Jackson v. Griffin fight "felt" closer than it actually was due to the incredible punching power of Jackson. When he let loose with his combos, I couldn't believe Griffin was still standing.
However, overall I think Griffin was the better tactician and did more damage. Gedan mawashi geri! Osu! |

You're not the first one to mention this question, Brazilian Berseker. It didn't look like Jackson was trying to finish the fight, and Griffin already spoke about a rematch. Looks like there's money to be made from it... Osu!

i dont think the jackson fight was fixed it was just an ordinary fight all round. I dont think either of these guys will be the champ of this division for long. Eventualy i think (and hope!!!) Shogun will take over this division, i know he was beaten by griffin but he is an absolute machine and i think when he gets back on track in the octagon he will be very hard for anyone to stop. I know it was a fair while ago but he absolutely smashed rampage in pride and i think he can do it again.

In spite of the size difference, I still think that Anderson Silva is a contender for the 205 belt as well. When it comes to all round skill and power, he is going to be tough to top. Osu!

Griffin deserved the decision..he lit up Jackson with some good leg kicks, landed more punches, etc..he totally dominated Jackson for the 2nd round, too! Jackson punches harder than Griffin but Griffin was using superior in and out footwork instead of standing toe to toe with Jackson which I think threw Jackson off..and the leg kicks to Jackson's left/lead leg!
I was rooting for Jackson, am a huge Jackson fan but give respect where respect is due and know how to score fights without any bias. Jackson does punch harder than Griffin but Griffin took his punches and landed a lot more strikes..that's what it comes down to. Jackson knew that Griffon legitatemly won the fight too! Even Rogan said a couple of minutes before the fight ended that "Griffin is winning the fight right now". I have seem some crazy calls in the UFC over the last few years(Bisping's "win" over Hamill..total BS)but this was a fair call. Koscheck on the other hand..I really can't stand him now after his performance.

Reading through the posts, I don't think anyone said otherwise. I do know that I question the intensity that Jackson brought to the fight, and Griffin didn't come close to a finish. I also think that there will be a rematch, and that's a very lucrative option given the alternatives... Osu!
