Hi Guys! Osu! Hope you are well!
Thanks for the comments on the pics - I got fed up of competing with the 'big boys' and dropped to middleweight, 84kg, and walk around now at 89-90kg...and the fight with Tyrone is at 90kg, so I just continue eating as normal...I have a book on fat loss coming out in January, there's a science behind it, no fad diets (don't work), so I thought I'd share my research in the book! I was still supremely conditioned in the first photo, but dropped the extra weight to fight people my own size again... I used to train with Tyrone all the time at FFC when I had Lucien Carbin as my trainer for over a year a couple of years ago...he is indeed incredible! I think he'll inherit the earth, but has to complete his apprenticeship first. I aim to test myself, to see whether he has truly come of age and therefore he will win, or whether I can show him the holes in his game and beat him, before having a coffee with him afterwards and showing him the flaws so they can be corrected and no-one else can exploit them...or I'll be congratulating him on beating me and getting the round in! Tyrone is a good friend of mine, and we'll show each other the best respect in the ring - by doing everything possible to beat each other! Me fighting Tyrone is like when I fought Carter Williams in Ohio, another friend of mine (I won that one). Backstage just before we went out, we wished each other well, and made the deal that whoever loses gets the beers in. We then went out and battered each other! Its always good fighting friends, the sportsmanship is high, and the rivalry is sibling deep...and whoever wins there'll be a smile and a hug! Smiler |

Very welcome to the forum Smiler. Nice to see pro fighters posting here :-)
Its been a while since Ive seen you anywhere online. Why dont you post a thread in the introduction forum, and introduce yourself to the masses (to those who dont already know who you are and your fighting background).

Osu!
Great to have you here Smiler! Well said! Do you feel that the weight loss make you faster, eks. doing combinations or moving on your feet? I was in a period fighting at 75-76kg and so I drop down to under 70kg and I feelt that speed did come with it. But I dont know if it really was a fackt or just the felling hehe! At 180 cm high I was no overweight at 76kg either. Osu! Last edited by Steffen; 09-19-2008 at 03:01 PM. |
