Ok, let's sum up. Your son has the size of a small adult, but you are insecure on whether he is mature or hardy enough to practice with seniors. However, as I understand there are no children or juinor class, so what's the alternative? If he really wants to practice Kyokushin, you are out of options here.
As hasbeen has already pointed out, it may be a disadvantage that he is not just some kid, but in fact your (the instructors) son. Troublesome. Of course you need to take his age into consideration, but pampering might be taken as favourism, and that's unfortunate. tmd hits the nail on the spot when he say that the smaller/lowest ranked decides how hard it's going to be. All students should understand that. The dilemma is, what are you going to do with those who are too hard on the kid? Beat them up? Tough nut to crack...

Osu!
With all the positive advice, feedback and ideas that have been presented here, I feel that there is a definite path that can be taken without any individual feeling that they have been singled out in a negative way. Thank you all! Osu!
