Best Joudan Mawashi Geri Kicker in Kyokushin History?
In my opinion, it's Ryu Narushima because of his countless knockouts from his hidari joudan mawashi geris.
Sergey Osipov's kick is just too beautiful, knocking down many of his opponents but not as powerful. Any other thoughts? |

I don't think that a vote of this type is plausible, since there is countless people who would need to be viewed by all to vote on, and some have passed away... and many did not compete or are on film to view.
Posssible if you asked "as a K/D tournament fighter only who" ... then that would change things. You also have to take in to consideration that fighting ways have changed over the years as the science of the training and the fighting too has changed. The way science has informed us of how to train, stretch etc.. has made for better kickers and the tools we have now that where not available back in the 60's, 70' or 80's... also has improved the kickers. (things like but not limited to, digital video, weight training, meds; & better insructors-based on 30-40 years or more of their training) So you can see my point on this one, though you may not agree that is fine, it's still a valid point to consider Last edited by Spirit; 10-22-2006 at 12:59 PM. |

Yes I agree but I still think Ryu Narushima sensei has one of the best highkicks to knock out his opponents. The most practical I would say.. osu

Well I voted for Narushima in this one because it's only for mawashi geri right?
because if it was for all kinds of high kicks...I think that IŽll vote for Andy Hug because of his amazing kakato otoshi...or maybe Sensei Ryuji Isobe...for his beautiful Kubi tate geri..... but even Narushima's mawashi geri is different from most fighters...that's why I voted on him... |

I think francisco filho has the best mawashi geri in kyokushin cosidering the speed, height, reach and power he generates with his kicks.
