I don't know many Kyokushin-fighters, but if I may name former fighters, I have to say that I really respect Takumi Higashidani Shihan. When he fought at the 1st All Japan Open, he possessed a unusually high level of technique and control of the time, plus he was (and still is) a very modest man, that did not gloat when he kicked somebodys head in.

He is featured in the original "The Strongest Karate" - there are some clips on YouTube (I'm sure you've seen him jump over the moving car), but I can't find any clips from the tournament just now. If anyone does, he is fighter no. 50.

Osu!

The most exciting era was the late eighties and at that time Kancho Matsui was best. Shihan Nakamura has to be mentioned for winning two world tournaments and also Francisco Filho as the first non Japaneese winner of a world tournament. I have just loaded a Kyokushin Legends Top 10 on YouTube. The order will generate debate but most of people's favourites should be there. Enjoy OSU.

My favourite fighter is Hajime Kazumi Shihan, because of his unique style and his untradtional methods of training.
Also I like Norichika Tsukamoto Sempai also because of his untraditional methods of training and glorius techniques.

ibuki!!! Nice to see you around the forum again! How is your training going in daidojuku? Do you still do kyokushin?

I also do like Ryu Narushima, very powerful techniques to KO.
