I can't open anything by the hypocritical apple clan so I can't see it! Any chance of posting it on You tube or similar as having seem some of Kyofighter in action I'd dying to see this even if I can't congratulations Kyofighter - You motivation is inspirational enough let alone the actual accomplishment - best of luck back in Romania, if I'm ever in town I'll do what I can to train under you, Osu!

).Of course the comment was not for you! It's based on a deep seated disdain for Apple Corp - I will only share as a PM as I don't want to unrail this thread over it!

that would make it more of a 50 man light sparring session

Somehow I very much doubt that. I've never seen a Kyokushin 50 men kumite, but if it's anything like the 25 men kumite I know from Ashihara, I don't think Kyofighter got away with it easy.

As kyofighter said, this was more of a test for himself to test his skills. Great job.

Just as an information : nobody in US even tried to complete the 50 kumite test, at least not at my knowledge, and I know for a fact that in USA IFK nobody did it.
We in Colorado at that time were only a handfull of people, so we did our best . I'm waiting to see the videos of those who are located in big kyokushin centers with many great fighters to help out for the test. Anyway, good luck to all of you, I'm happy to say that I learned a lot from the test and most important I realized that my friends, my students and my sparring partners are great human beings not just awesome karateka. Osu.

Osu! Kyofighter,
You get my respect - having done 30 I am under no illusions how hard 50 is. Well done! Gary

Congratulations, Kyofighter, that was a great challenge and probably lots of fun.
When I was possibly moving to Denver (ended up getting turned down by the Denver PD so never went), Kyofighter's dojo was #1 on my list and I got to talk to him briefly through the internet. He seems like a dedicated, hardworking karateka in my book and a nice guy to boot. Wish I could've trained with him before he left, but such as it is. As for blueeyedninja's comment, this is my usual response as of late to comments like this: If you're not satisfied with his performance, do your own 50 man kumite and show us how you think it should be done.

my comment wasnt about HIS performance. if i did a 50 man kumite i would expect every opponent to attack with the intention of knocking me down, as thats what i think a 50 kumite in "knockdown" karate is. Last edited by Nix; 09-08-2008 at 08:06 AM. Reason: Merged posts |

I don't know your rank and experience in full-contact karate, but I can tell you for sure that nobody would pass any test ( for belts or other) if the opponents would go 100 % and if they are choosen only from champions. It is very easy to KO someone when he is hurt and extremely tired. I can also tell you that if you would have come to Denver for example and five of our guys would have fought you 100% , ten rounds and you are done .
Just watch the 100 man test from the great ones ( Matsui, Filho) and you will see all kind of opponents, big ones , small ones, good ones, weak ones). The pourpose of the test is to push to the limit. So, to answer your question , no - we didn't go 100% full-contact, and I don't think anyone can go that way for more then 10 rounds. Osu.
