GSP kyokushin record?
GSP is a kyokushin blackbelt who credits kyokushin with his standup. But does anyone know if he has a kyokushin knockdown record? Has he been ian any big events? How did he do?

Martin according to this site he trained in Kyokushin from age 6 to 16 but no mention thereafter. It sounds like if thats the case he may never have cometed in a knockdown tournament at all.

He stopped doing Kyokushin when his master died and took up Brazillian Ju Jitsu. And if he only trained from 6 to 16 then it may be possible that he never competed in a knockdown contest as a karateka.

GSP would have made a formidable Karate competitor in my opinion, but his path led him to mixed martial arts, so it may never be known. Either way, he is one of my favorite fighters! Hope he Ippons Matt Hughes.

and they are fighting in november 12 or 14(Whichever lands on a saturday) i believe
