Daido Juku 2006 Hokutoki Open Weight Tournament Results
Osu,

Here are the results for the 2006 Hokutoki Open Weight Tournament held, Sunday, November 12th, 2006. As soon as I receive more information, I will update the site, so far all I have is who placed.

1.) Fujimatsu Yasumichi
2.) Shimizu Kazuma
3.) Sasazawa Kazuari
4.) Hiratsuka Youjiro

Yes. Hokutoki tournaments are all Japan tournaments, held twice a year.

This year was apparently interesting with a few fighters from other styles competing.

Osu, daidojuku. What's the chance of small guys competing in daidojuku open weight tournaments? What are the other styles competing in this event? Osu!

Fujimatsu Yasumichi (263) finished off Shimizu Kazuma (259.9), both from Honbu, with a udehigishi jyujigatame during the extension round.

Small body type competing in Kudo Open Tournament

Osu,

There were a few open weight champions who were light weight, including Kato Kiyotaka.

Other styles that have competed have been Muay Thai, Kenpo, Jiu Jitsu, Pancration, just to name some.
