New fight of Noji on 3/23

Noji will fight against Onda, who is the same guy who lost a kickoboxing fight to Shihan Pettas before he came back to K-1. He has been training in Seidokaikan K-1 department for four years. He has also done muay thai, jujitsu, wrestling and seikendo (of pro-wrestling legend satoyama). He was also once a "best newcomer in shinkarate".

Noji Ryuta won by hantei 3-0.
Matsumoto won by TKO in R1 (doctor stop. cut in the forehead by hiza geri).

Noji was a bit hesitate with using newaza (while his opponent was all-out for heel hold and tackling), but his clinching, hiza geri and pounding earned him enough points for a hantei.Noji said after the fight that he had won other fights in R1 and usually by KO, so going all three rounds was a good experience for him. He expressed to wish to fight any strong people, even if it meant going into the "golden net" (octagon).

Koichi Pettas, a student of Shihan Nicholas Pettas, lost his fight against Andrew Peck(former K-1 New Zealand Champion) by hantei of 3-0. Koichi is 17kg lighter then his opponent. In R1 Koichi made some good inner low kicks, but Peck had a physical advantage and he returned with good hooks and right low kicks. In R2 Koichi got winded and Peck rampaged with series of knee kicks.


The wrestling duo shown at the bottom of the poster lost their fight .
