New Kudo Headgear

The Daido Juku Sohonbu is now introducing a new headgear.

Special features of the new headgear include:
1)Light and hard plastic for superb shock absorption
2)Clear and wide sight ensured
3)Strong padding from the top to the back of the head. Jaw strengthed with shock absorbing material.
4)An anti-slipping belt is attached to the back of the head

Looks good. The jaw protection is not very good with the old one. (Think I had some teeth slightly moved at a tournament...)

They have two different sizes (prices in japanese yen, tax included)
S: 10,000 (9,000 for Daido Juku students)
L: 15,000 (14,000 for Daido Juku students)

Size L

Size S

(Length shown in cm)
Please refer to these diagrams here for precise sizing. The bigger spheres show the outer measurements and the smaller spheres show the inner measurements. The plastic visor is the same for both S and L sizes and it measures 23(vertical)x38(horizontal).

Only Size S is available as of today. Size L will be available at the end of July.

They don't ship in Bulgaria and the news isn't even in the ENglish part of the site, but... there is some chance. I will do my best to own it, but for now I will update my site with the new information

If you don't mind waiting a few months, I will be back in Japan in the fall for business, and can order this stuff for you guys, have it shipped to me while I am there, and then get it off to you...

Actually, I would have them ship it to my hotel in Tokyo----then I could send it to Bulgaria from Japan. Fed Ex would probably be too expensive, so we could use the Post Office EMS service. Usually 3-5 business days, trackable on the internet, insurance included.

When I was in Tokyo in March, I was there for about 10 days, so I believe that this fall my trip will be about the same.

I actually was able to order a few things for a member on the board while I was there----and it worked out just great.

Again, I don't know exactly the dates of my trip, but if you are willing to wait a little bit, we can make this work.

Here are all three views of the headgear and you can have it shipped to anywhere allowed by Japanese law by direct deposit to KIF Headquarters.

The trip that I go on in Aug/Sept may be the better time to get it, because I will have more computer access, and more time in a single location (since it is a business trip).

So if you decide that you want something, spell it out very carefully with links, sizes, colors, etc., so that there is no guessing game. And then we can discuss by pm or email payment, etc.
