I moved this post to a new thread. As far as I know, Bas Rutten has practiced in kyokushin and holds a black belt.

Tetsuo Seto, Yoshinori Ikeda and Ryuji Nota are current Kyokushin MMA fighters competing in Japan.
Ryo Chonan ( who has beaten Anderson Silva by submission in Pride and is Deep champion) is now in the UFC. I was hoping he would stay in Japan and work for K-1 Heros. I would live to see him in a match versus the likes of Taiei Kin, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Kazuo Misaki, Melvin Manhoef, Zelg Galesic among others.

But there's also interesting competition in the UFC for him (Dan Henderson, Rich Franklin, Anderson Silva and some other few).

Realy? We don't have that here in Southern Europe but i guess it contains more or less the same spirit as the UFC. No? And that guy must be a problem when they get into fights. Those gedan mawashi geri must be terrific on ice floor lol! Only in America!

He still runs his dojo in The Netherlands.
de website van Honbu Kamakura
Kancho Gordeau is now 9th dan and still training a lot of top fighters.
Last time K-1 came to Amsterdam he was coaching one of the fighters.
Last year my son received his trophy (2nd place) out of his hands.
He was one of the referees then.

Yes, but he does shotokan karate, not something from the kyokushin family.
