i had a feeling GSP was going to win, there's nothing like that revenge determenation. Matt Sera is still a good fighter i think.GSP seems more "well-rounded" though, just my opinion.and GSP trained in Kyokushin so that's always cool.

GSP blasted Serra's ribs at the end of the fight. 4 unanswered knees. It was a dominating victory for GSP.

If anyone thought realistically Matt Serra had a chance, they were out of their minds. He got lucky against GSP last time and he's a very average fighter. He really seems like he never makes an improvement in any part of his fight game.

Osu!

I would have been surprised at any other outcome. GSP is a smart fighter, and the chances of him being caught twice with the same trick seem remote.

yeah, what you just mentioned is why Matt Sera lost.GSP is a much smarter fighter than MS this is true.MS is a decent fighter, but he seems very limited IMO.

I expected GSP to win but if Matt Serra won I wouldn't have been surprised, neither. It only takes one punch, nobody is invincible. Yeah, I agree, GSP seems like a smart fighter but Serra is Renzo's first American black belt, he's no idiot, neither.
Was a good fight, I'm glad I watched it at my place overall, the card wasn't that great..I only liked the Franklin and GSP fight...however, the rocky quote Quarry said after his fight was classic!
It also appeared that GSP put on a red Shidokan France gi top after he won the fight, anybody else see that? I know it was a red gi top and i'm prett sure i could make out Shidokan France but not 100% sure, anybody able to confirm?

yep 100% sure it was a shidokan top.

GSP is my top fighter by far. I mean hes a great ambassador for the sport, he does kyokushin, hes respectufl, embodies the budo spirit of martial arts and the list goes on (plus my mum loves him haha). Although i really wanted him to KO matt with his standup but he still dominated and had a great performance. One thing though, in his past 3 fights; GSP has gone straight for the takedown and jon fitch (who GSP will also be fighting next) said that GSP has turned into a wrestler after the matt serra fight. What do you guys think about that?

GSP had a plan and followed his plan. He was well prepared, physically and mentally ready and we saw the outcome...
He is to my opinion the best fighter pound for pound in the UFC.

I think he was trying to avoid a repeat of what happened last time. With the increase in his grappling/ wrestling time, I think it natural that he does what he has practiced most, most recently.

Maybe he'll return to striking now that that particular match is over.

yeah,Matt Serra is alot smarter than people give him credit for.LOL GSP really had the fire,GSP had that "Revenge Mentality" and that goes along way.GSP was out for revenge and he was focused and i think that's part of the reason GSP won and plus he's a great fighter.if your hungry enough, and if your determined enough things can happen.even things you never thought could
