What's your opinions on egg yolk?
I often read that egg white contains just as much protein as egg yolk. The difference between them is that egg yolk has high amount of calories and saturated fats(bad fats) this may not be good for you if you are trying to cut or lose weight. Also drinking/consuming raw eggs may give you disease.. i remember drinking milk/an egg/sugar the ultimate milk shake :< i kinda miss it.. osu

May I introduce a drink for those who want to put on weight before tournaments?
This was originally taken from the diet of Rikishi Kirishima and Shihan Midori Kenji used it in preparing for his tournaments. Contents include bananas, milk, eggs, honey and protein. Take it three times a day. Shihan also says vitamin c is important. He would also took a supplement which is a speciality from his hometown amami-oshima before he slept. It is the liver powder of "habu", a kind of venomous snake from the okinama. OSU!

dear kakatootoshi...
actually i know only a little bit..as my friends who go to the gym told me this that many guys who take protein powder there, have good improvement in thier body, but they dont get enough sleep..i mean they want to sleep but the thing is they wont get that sleepiness...and i also heard that this causes sterility, that's not from anyone's experience, but just what i heard..i actually asked to know about it more..hehe..here there are many companies that produce these products, and it can also be because of the fact that they do not manufacture it properly..India is a very good place for fake things you know..hehe..So thats what i know on it..i've heard that groundnut it a very good source of protein, is that true??you know something about that?i heard that people soak it in water at night, and have it in the morning..again, not sure..hehe.. ![]() OSU |

Creatine does two things, one is it increases the amount of water that a muscle cell can absorb, and two it increases the efficiency of muscle recovery post workout. Sadly, Creatine supplement doesn't always work on 100% of the people. There are some (like me), have almost ZERO effect other than Water Retention. Another Thing about Creatine is this. The BEST time to take Creatine is post workout. Where the Muscles are Starving for nutrients (like Protein, Water, and Creatine). However just taking Creatine alone isn't really effective. Because of our digestive system, and stomach acid, taking Creatine alone only allows maybe 20% to be absorbed into the body. In order for our body to absorb more than that we have to Spike our Insulin Levels. We spike our Insulin Levels mainly by taking in lots of sugar, and i would suggest for one to take in the simplest version of it, which is Dextrose. By taking Dextrose mixed with Creatine our body can absorb more than 80%. Those products like Celltech etc, is basically what i have just said. Dextrose mixed with Creatine mixed with other minor supplements. That's why a big bottle of it only has like 20 servings, when you can get a pound of Creatine and it's around 150 Servings. The basic amount should be 5mg of Creatine (which is basically 1 serving), and 5g (or was it 50g? the info is kinda hazy) of Dextrose. Mixed in water and drink it. Ok, this really doesn't answer your question...lol. Creatine, since it can be taken in naturally, doesn't really have an age limit. But i would really suggest that you stay away from many of the supplements (other than a multi Vitamin and Protein) till you are more mature (muscular and organ wise), around 18 or 20. But if you want to take Creatine....i guess you can do it now. Try to obtain all of the needs through clean healthy foods, instead of a pill or powder. DOH! sorry i went off on a tangent... ![]() ![]()

And, just add an addendum to Kansetsu's creatine speech. One of the most important things people forget about when taking either creatine or protein powder is to drink tons of water. Because these supplements will be moving through your body, and lets face it, most of it will actually go into waste, they can be killer on your kidneys unless you are fairly hydrated.

A cooked whole egg is far superior to parts or a raw egg. The cooking improves digestion and the egg yolk is superior to the egg white. The saturated fat is not as bad if you eat enough healthy fats too. Try to aim for an 1-1-1 ratio (saturated, mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated) and you should be fine. The problem with saturated fats is, that the average guy eats about a 10-1 ratio in saturated/other fats. I hope this helps |

Eggs are not bad for you.
I won't go into a highly detailed explanation but: -The media hype that eggs are bad came from a study which used egg substitue powder, not actual eggs. -No living thing at birth would have nutrients that are bad for bodies. This makes no sense. |

Hi, I don't have alot of infomation but maybe more of a question. I had always been led to believe that raw eggs can cause salmonella poisioning of some kind.

Robert H see Blazindaves post - you only get poisoned by food which is rubbish - if you want to eat raw eggs don't buy cheep cheep ones

The chances of actually getting an egg with salmonella (especially in a first world country) are very small. Thank the media once again. This is not to say you can eat raw eggs off the floor, but simply that you can sleep easy at night knowing the chances of actually acquiring salmonella are pretty small. |
