I like beer but only in moderation. Maybe the party here and there where I'll get drunk but for the most part, not to get drunk but rather to relax. If it's a social event and everyone's having one, then sure, I'll have some too.

Well, depends on how much of a food fanatic you are. Is it great? No, it's not part of a bodybuilding lifestyle.

But I also like to live a little from time to time, and an ice cold beer with friends is less harmful than the two pounds of fudge I made yesterday.

Meet my American friends Bud-Light, Miller-Lite, Natural-Lite. College students here in the US drink beers that taste like urine (or at least what I think would taste like).

Aren't you glad you're not a 18th century doctor? they used to diagnose diabetes by tasting urine. The medical name for diabetes is "diabetes mellitus" which actually translates as "sweet urine"!!!! UGH

Back to the beer topic I have no idea what it was called but I had lots in Berlin last week and it was lovely and they have the right idea -not pints but lovely big litres. I have notheing against the Europen Union but if they are going to remove the traditional Pint thay have to at least replace it with something bigger like a litre - I couldnt order a half litre - its the half that puts me off - it just seems less

Funny reaction to this. You said litre, and I look to my left at the alcohol I have to take to the NY/NJ meet next month. And I'm thankful that none of us seem to be able to drink much at all. (We may be among the most sober lot I've seen yet.

)

I am quite convinced I am too old, and too out of practice to drink beer by the litre.

I was in Germany last year and we were drinking this slightly cloudy bear I think they said it's called white beer? Anyhoo it was not only great tasting but because they don't put any rubbish in it you can drink a lot more before you get a hang over.
