I drink water with creatine powder one hour before training, then one bottle of sports drink at the two breaks. Directly after I drink one liter of water with protein powder. We have a two hour session and it is 35 degrees (C) now in the summer.

After a good number of sparring rounds, I suddenly cramped up to the point where I had to clutch my calf muscle. My sensei was watching and immediately told me to drink water and call it a day.

That happened to me one time during padwork session. Luckily it was towards the end of class and I finished out that round of padwork one kick at a time.
