Whats For Breakfast?
First thought that crosses my mind when I get back from morning run "What's for breakfast?" Living life of a real estate agent, with long working hours I don't normally get alot of time to spend and get creative in the kitchen, unless its a special dinner. So anything goes. Maybe this thread should be posted in Female Fighter as the girls get more ideas for cooking. I look forward to hearing back your breakfast suggestions for me. I promise to try most of them and give you my feed back. Osu.

I used to be into extravagant breakfasts but these days I find a big bowl of Corn Flakes is best. I warm the milk up for slightly less than a minute in the microwave first.
If you want to get creative with it, you could add cut strawberries or sliced bananas. Fast and healthy. |

I eat scrambled eggs or omelet with onions, peppers , and tomatoes thrown in (a slice of swiss cheese if its an omelet) two slices of whole wheat toast, with a banana and or grapes. I usually avoid the sugary breakfast like pancakes, French toast, waffles, etc. Oh and say no to bacon.

The right breakfast for you depends on what you are doing, what your training goals are, and what you prefer!
For example - when I am working on weights with a goal to increase muscle bulk I ensure that my breakfast contains protein through meat, eggs, lean cheese or the like. If I am trying to take off weight - I like to stick to low Glycaemic index foods that keep me feeling full for longer, with the lowest amount of calories. Natural museli with low fat yogurt is a good choice here. (and I love this breakfast, because it is instant - no cooking, no mess). If I'm neither trying to gain or lose, but, for example, am going to do a 25km walk that day - I eat everything I can get my hands on! There is no "right breakfast". It is about recognising that you need to give your body the fuel for the task you have set it. A cautionary note - be careful of breakfasts that are attractive because they are high in protein - they can also be very high in fat, cholesterol and sometimes even sugar. None of these are a good idea, no matter what. ![]()

In the summers I like to do smoothies in the morning.
Cup of Milk Single serving of yogurt, strawberry or blueberry (which adds the flavor) Banana Ice Throw that in the blender, and 30 seconds later, breakfast is served!! Lately, I have been having an organic granola bar on the way out the door. vapor

I chose to eat only fruit until 11 am in the morning, (or drink fruit juices.. but I'd rather eat than drink.) I've found that my body prefers a very light, and easy morning awakening that is provided by some bananas, apples, strawberries, etc. etc.
