Osu!

I've seen Veggies do very well, but that fella I mentioned actually lost fat, and gained a fair bit of muscle from the switch to Omni. I think some bods need the meat.

And to give the other side of that, there's a BB in SF that can't process any meat. Makes him very ill. Big guy, very strong, and nature has kept him from the delights of crispy bacon. Would make me mean too.

Osu! Dent,

My answer to queries about my culinary preferences: biggest (land) mammals are all vegetarian. Would you want to take on a rhino or elephant? Therefore...

Ketchup! Ketchup!?! You mean youŽd ruin a good meal with ketchup! Now whereŽs that De-Rep button? Unless you now have curry-ketchup over there, of course!

Most of the comments here a kind of accurate, the fat versus protein offset plays a part, but vegetable and soy proteins are not complete, milk and meat are.
If you are training alot you are not going to be able to sufficiently repair the damage caused. Period.
I studied nutrition fanatically for years to figure out what was best to build muscle and the reality is milk and meat based protiens are the best without arguement. Meat also provides Iron, and other minerals/ vitamins your body needs to survive. Being anemic is going to stop your training.
Musashi, after being an uber militant vegan freak for years (14) has realised she cant train without eating meat, not at a high level anyways. Now she chows on Chicken and sometimes even Pork or Beef.
Sam, thanks. I never knew you were vegan too. May I ask what were the reasons? Well I don't eat meat as much as I used to now. I always eat tofu based meals(yum) in house(and mock chicken etc). I do eat meat when out in town. So far i'm handling it well but it may change once I start training harder. I hardly have time to train at the moment.. I will probably consider taking protein supplements and get iron from Marmite or other products.(prune!) Thank you for your input!
