Yes, Noni grows wild in the cook islands and other tropical area's. Over there they make it up into a drinkable form and take it before sports events etc. Its a bit like gurana on steroids as far as I can tell, I remember one guy telling me his wife started drinking it 2 days before a netball match, didn't sleep the whole time, vomitted reguarly, but had an enourmous amount of energy the whole time. Oh and it tasted bad too. Thats about all I know!

Osu.

i tried it once. A friend of mine use to drink it all the time before we went for our runs. And i tried it. I was on the toilet pretty much straight away. Had a great run, but i think it takes time to get use to the effect to the body.

Never heard of it.
Reading the above comments, I guess I won't try it.

My friend swears by how wonderful it is.. I just had to have one small sniff of it, and I decided that I preferred not to include it in my healthy dietary changes unless it was totally necessary. I'd have to be pretty desperate to consider including it.

One Word !!!!!!!!........ YUUUUCKKKKKKKK !!!!!!!!!!, that thing iz na-a-a-asty. I tried it for the first time this morning...and ....YUUUUCKKKKKKKK !!!!!!!!!!, i vomitted the instant that it crossed my throat,. But i do believe it's good because the little bit that did stay in my system, i felt goood for a good while after. But in trying with the stick with the kyohushin spirit, i will attempt it again and again untill i can handle it....this thing has gotten too much good reviews for it not to be beneficial..i'm sticking with it !!!!!
OH !! and did i mention that i'm not drinking the commercial one, i'm getting the pure good stuff (LOL !!) straight from the fruit that's picked off a tree.....YUCK !!!!

Osu!

I have to question how good it can be if the body has such a natural and violent reaction to it?

I think the bodies reaction is mostly because of the taste and smell, I can't comment on the taste but it smells a bit like decomposing cheese. I was told it's high in caffiene or some other type of stimulant like guarana (sp?) so that probably has a bad affect on some people too.

That's absolutely right, it's an awfull sensory experience. But the effects are good for body. It's just like training, we train hard which can be very painful at first but after a while we get accustomed to it and the pain and tiredness dosen't bother us anymore but the benefits are tremendous.......it's the same principle i guess...

Some other guy in another forum had done some personal research about it, this is what he claims (parentheses added by me):

- Low vitamin levels per serving (compared to regular vitamin pills, which are way cheaper) (this can also be verified by reading what's in the stuff)
- The fruits are often harvested a bit too early, and can cause stomach problems with sensitive people (this one seems proven by some of you guys)
- No external control of quality or hygiene at factories
- No external control of quality of product

As it's a second hand source, take it for what it is. I know I wouldn't spend much money on it.

There was a big fad in Japan about Noni juice....believe there is a Taihitian Noni cafe in Shinjuku (close to the Tokyo Gvt building).

I only recall the price of the bottles of Noni being overly expensive, and fairly hard to buy without going through a catalog or something, so I just kind of watched the fad play out...

First off one item will not help you if you eat processed foods
If you don't do cleanings
if you don't eat organic
if you do take any type of drug
if you drink alcohol
if you don't eat balanced
drink coffee
so on and so on.

So if you are Truly looking to find something that will help your health STOP eating processed foods........

That's a tall order, Spirit. Not that you're wrong at all, but in today's market, eating clean is either very expensive and/ or very difficult.

Read something the other day about organic farmers in the US who were selling 'futures' for their farms in order to keep going. Basically, locals are asked to invest in the farms and are guarenteed a proportionate amount of the produce. Sounds like a great idea, which gives you a low-cost weekly source of organic produce and cuts out the middlemen.

There was a news story this morning that descibed a website in the US (can't recall the url) in which you punch in your postal code, and it will give you a listing of the local farms in your area that will sell directly to the public.

That seems like a great way to procure your fruits and vegetables!

Well it really is not that expensive since you cut out all tonic, drugs, junk food and all the crap that you eat now. This will cut your food bill big time. Then you will eat less after a short time because your body can absorb a much higher rate of what you eat. so your portions shrink. Then their is no more ghost hunger since you are not eating food that is laced with drugs that make you hungry even when full...

So once you look at it and complete the cycle my food bill is less today than it was 5 years ago!!!
As for the difficult part yes and no, you can find good organic foods at whole foods and trader joes both have several hundred stores across the US as well local markets and farms, or deli's.

As I type this I'm eating my 100% organic pizza.....It's a life style change that many can make do to several reasons, though the biggest is just plan laziness. Stuck in the rut and do not wish to get out do to its so easy....

Yes each state has this I beleive.....

Though most of them tend to be far way from the city and suburbs.
You can find or search for type of fruit, veg or meat... even places to eat out. I use them when I'm traveling to camps and seminars etc..

I like this idea. We have a few folk in the area that have large gardens, and who sell informally, but this means that the produce can be hit and miss.
