After something thinking... maybe we could do a secret santa somehow with K4L board members that wish to participate!

Set price limit on all gifts of course. Moderators could assist with the distribution of names for secret sake

Good question...I'm flying to Japan to see my Favorite Karate Man! All my money went to purchasing the plane ticket! No presents for him...lol

Where in Japan will you be, and when? Maybe we could arrange another Kyokushin4life meeting, cos I'm pretty sure Vapor-san'll be in town too...

As for me, I'm getting my karate man stuff from the US. (I'll be going home for Christmas.) Maybe a T-shirt.

I will be in Japan starting 12/28 ~ 1/11. Scattered about the country--Tokyo, Ibaraki, Tochigi (onsen!)

I guess it could happen in NYC too...my office is in Midtown, close to Grand Central Station!

(We would go to the beach in Ibaragi during the summer...good place to watch the surfers and fish off the shore!)

Isami Gi Are Great - I Was Once Told By A Fellow Student That I Had To Earn The Right To Wear One! Personally I Think That Is Tosh! If You Train Hard You Deserve To Wear One......

If there's going to be a get together in Japan, shouldn't it start at the Ichigeki cafe? If I have any money leftover after Cristmas (Wii for the kids, something unaffordable for the Mrs.), I'll get myself an Ichigeki dogi.

Well, Isami dogi aren't cheap, and they definitely don't grow on trees, so its' true. You do have to earn a little to wear one, unless it's a Chrismas present.

My little brother does also want to start karate in the new year, he went to training with me and likes it. So I think I will buy him a Gi and give him my "old" protecors =)

I couldnt agree more - all of my students are training less than a year (except one who used to train with me and has since come back) - they all train hard and are essentially beginners but they all wear the Isami Gi with Pride.

They arent really that expensive - I had my first one for 18 years. If you work out the price over that 18 years its very little really.

An international karate dinner!!!:-Kaviar from the country off Osipov.
-Smoked salmon from the country off Pettas. (or maybe off blokes country)
-Fois grass from the country Off Alexandre Rodriguez
-Chocolat off my country or Sihan Andy Hug´s country
-Coffee from Teixera´s country
-Sushi´s from Shichinohe´s Island
-cheese off Michel Wedels country
-Chorizo and ham from Alejandro Navarro´s country
-Wine from Gary´Oneil s country!
-And Oysters from Wedels country!
-Steak from Diego Maradonna´s country!
-Dessert from Donna Versace`s country!
