A great Viking indeed. Maybe I should change my name to Scandinavian Berserker (Berserkers were great Norse warriors, feared for their furious battlerage, almost like a trance). Actually, I'm have a rather mixed heritage. Norway, Denmark, Romania, Russia and Paraguay, just in the last three generations. Who know what else? Interesting that you should mention Vikings though, but all I know is that one of my forefathers was in fact a dreaded pirate captain! He later had the option of a receiving death sentence without a trial (should they ever get in gun range), or serving as high admiral of the royal navy. A good example of the fact that if you can't beat him, make him join your ranks.

I would love to visit South America Brazil one day. I'd like to see the carnival in Rio de Janeiro, the Amazon and Rio Amazonas and the ruins of the Mayan and Aztec civilizations.

I learned (or was reminded) that a good tailor is well worth the money...(I had her make some adjustments here and there on a couple new suits that I bought...and man, they fit great!)

I am amazed how some people can earn what must be a good living, by missing appointments; not doing agreed upon work; damaging what was working; and by leaving well before the task is completed.

In theory, these people would starve due to their inability to complete an assignment, yet they prosper. There must be some tradesman's conspiracy going on here...

Found out the hard way, that changing from one internet provider to another isn't very good for your health.
First technician couldn't find out why the connection wasn't working.
Second technician finally found out that my connection was broken in my neighbours basement.
Now we are waiting for the third technician to fix it.

Don't know about saving the day but today I became the National Sales Manager for a Heat Pump Company, a job I've been trying to nail for the last three months! So not saving the day but saving people money/ carbon/ the environment???? I am in Sales after all

Oh and as it's a National role I will be looking to build a list of friendly dojo's for when I have to work away

Appreciated Dent, really, which is why I had to share, the whole worlds a bit doom and gloom and in the misted of all this cack, becuase I put myself out and just went for it it has worked out - good old British he who Dares eh?

The AUZ thing has drifted away as the recession took all the value out of my home (about 100,000 euros in the last year ) Nix so I've been pushing to progress here and my missus is training to be a teacher - both of us could make good money in NZ or Auz but in the UK we can now too, and as both our Dads had some health scares earlier this year we had a bit if a wake up call as to why we need to be around for these guys.

All my kids are doing great at school so I don't wanna upset a good thing for them, you know? A year ago when I asked the 'should I stay or go' question, I'd just lost a business I'd worked for 5 years to build and it was 30% government BS and 70% the type of so called trades men Dent seems to find on a daily basis that caused me all the grief, I had a shed load of cash built up in the house so I thought, what the hey everyone I know who as crossed over had made it so why shouldn't I - Now I've got a lot more to lose - Back to my fav. motto bud, 'it's all about Risk and Reward and right now it ain't worth it! Got my BB Grading in 6 months too
