Can anyone help me w/ my querry!!
![]() Good day to all K4L member,just wanna ask anyone to help me with my querry about the complete list of player during the 1987 (IKO)4TH WORLD OPEN KARATE TOURNAMENT ,and also the final result...hope anyone can help me with this ...thanks and GODBLESS to all!!osu!! Salvador

Final Results (according to Kyokushin quarterly USA version)
Akiyoshi Matsui Japan Andy Hug Switzerland Akira Masuda Japan Mike Thompson GB Ademir S.F. da Costa Brizil Hiroki Kurosawa Japan Yasuhiro Shichnobe Japan Nicholas A.C. da Costa GB Note 5-8 places are decided by total number of broken boards in case of tie on the bases of weight diffence and/or general impression |

thanks Spirit for the reply with regards to this querry of mine!!it helps a lot,and i'l be glad if you can help me gather imformation for the complete line up of player who participate by that year,if i'm correct they were about 128..Is there someone by the name of Rosalio J. Melchor from the Philippines..if there is,what is his player number according to the list!!!thanks!!

According to the"official" list of competitors (in the mag Volume 11) their was 207 fighters and 2 from Philippines.
Sumarago was in Block A number 22 & Leonar was in block C #138... That is the best I can do, if their was a change in the fighters and it was not updated in the list of fighters in the mag (which was published after the tourney) I don't know??? |

Got it from the Magazine we use to get from the Honbu, no biggie.
Not like I remembered it or anything, can even remember what day or anything, thought it was Sunday? Dam its Monday!!! |

thanks again Spirit for the info,i don't know if i am only mistaken coz my sensie Rosalio Melchor was one of the delegate of the Kyokushinkaikan Philippines during that time, i also see his name in some of the documents and magazine but i just want to make it sure if it was 1987...but if there is any way i can verify this somehow hope you may lend me a ahand again!!thanks!!

Matsui is the last fighter listed in the right hand column (the one with Midori at the top).
