Bare Fist Prize Fighting
having read [most of it bravado] about bare knuckle face punching and groin strikes being added to knockdown rules i wondered if any of you guys have ever fought a bare fist prize fighter?....and if so,please let the forum know how you got on?

i did once and came a poor second

also i would like to point out again to all the lunatics who want these rules added to knockdown tournaments that if this ever did come about our tournaments which we all enjoy would be outlawed.

so if any of you fancy the challenge, bare fist prize fighting is the way to go, most countrys have them and they are not hard to find.

so if you are that way inclined there`s your answer !?

I used to go to school with some guys who went on to be Prize fighters I was not a karateka back then and when at about 16 I fell out with one of them I fell out with all of them if you know what I mean! Did some damage but to be honest it was my first proper kicking. . Not sure this is quite what you're looking for, what I do know is that they fight 100%, so if you're going to do it, like any other tournament or self defense situation do not hold back!

thanks tmd...looking for everybodys experiences but more especially to see if anybody who has been "giving it large" in the bare knuckle thread has ever done it.

p.s 2-0 to the bad boys

Being face punched with bare knuckles on my last tourney, I can't really say that I'd liked it.
Maybe it's different if you expect to be face punched.
For me, the current rules are just fine.

Gotta say Olrac I agree, I like KD rules; I got punches in the face 3 times in my last tourney and one of them broke my nose . But like you say it's different if your expecting it.

I donīt know if this counts, but I got smacked in the face a few times at WUKO competitions, which I soon stopped doing as I found them to be more dangerous than knockdown!

I also got head-butted at a party once, which made me see stars, but I managed to ride it and stay on my feet, which scared the other guy enough for him too take off at high speed, not to be seen again.
