Active rest
Osu!

With so many different members on the board, and all with a passion for the martial arts, I was wondering what kinds of active rest (Other physical activities not directly related to training) you engage in when not training?

this afternoon I have been rollerblading. It is great for my knee rehab/maintenance.

Tomorrow morning, I am doing a 60km bike ride.

Active enough? I think so. rest? Maybe not....

Very busy, Seienchin, but it isn't work, right?

(And 60km on a bike?! It's not the leg pain that would bother me, but the 2 feet of padding on the seat would look funny! )

Have you heard of the NZ boxer Shane Cameron? He just had his forehead peeled back & his brow bones shaved flat to stop him from cutting so easily. I was thinking the same surgery on my sitting bones would make cycling way more comfortable.

Does weight-training count? I'm really bad at sports, so I don't really do any physical activity rather than that, though I started swimming again.

If ever there was an activity that didn't count, housework would be it!

That's nuts. More understandable than the majority of cosmetic surgery, but still nuts!

Weight training is good, and so is swimming. If I had to be good at something to do it, I'd never be able to set foot in the Dojo again.

Tameshigiri, I love fishing too! But, I haven't gone for so long. I prefer freshwater, though. Sor Cal is such a bad place for freshwater fishing .
