Active rest
Osu!
With so many different members on the board, and all with a passion for the martial arts, I was wondering what kinds of active rest (Other physical activities not directly related to training) you engage in when not training? Osu!

this afternoon I have been rollerblading. It is great for my knee rehab/maintenance.
Tomorrow morning, I am doing a 60km bike ride. Active enough? I think so. rest? Maybe not....

Have you heard of the NZ boxer Shane Cameron? He just had his forehead peeled back & his brow bones shaved flat to stop him from cutting so easily. I was thinking the same surgery on my sitting bones would make cycling way more comfortable.

Tameshigiri, I love fishing too! But, I haven't gone for so long. I prefer freshwater, though. Sor Cal is such a bad place for freshwater fishing

I have actually found this a hard post to reply too as I see everything I do physically as for and on behalf of my MA training , I'm up to around 10 hours a week of out of dojo training but it's all linked to trying to squeeze in a few more tourneys and loose more weight for said same so not sure any of it counts! I think weight training probably does count as I'm not actively thinking of my Kara |
