Kitajima commented after the tournament that he would like to fight in tournaments of other groups, including the world tournament of shinkyokushinkai.

11/19 22nd Fighting All Japan Open Karate Tournament

Once again Kitajima... I met him in Nice (France), for the 2003 International Byakuren Open. He was starting to be a true fighting machine (in the finals, he won over another great fighter: the American Brent Weedman), and in 2004 he also won the 1st World Tournament.

But as far as I know, he IS fighting in tournaments of other organizations as well.

Anyway, I suppose he'll go back to Nice this April for the II International. I'll keep you informed.
