Osu danjagg!

Thank you for your input. It is my impression that Shihan Nakamura is still well-respected in the Kyokushin community. It is nevertheless interesting that you practiced back in the old days, and that you now choose to return. I look forward to read your posts. Please keep in mind though, that we try to avoid controversial and overly political subjects on this forum.

In the meantime, I suggest that you create a thread in our introduction section, so we can give you a proper welcome!

Osu,
~ Nix

Welcome to the Forum, Danjagg!

Please head over to the Introductions section, and tell us a bit about yourself, so we can all welcome you properly.

As far as political discussion goes, that's our number one Forum no-no. We are all happy to train together however, as members of the international Knockdown family!

Osu, Nix and Dent....
thank you for the responses, and as I said I am purely 10th kyu on this forum and now am aware of the rules regarding political discussions..... makes perfect sense. I am going to search around for the FAQ area, which I should have done in the first place, and then will get over to the introductory section.
thanks again.

Probably boxing and maybe sambo. I sparred with a buddy that takes sambo and I screamed every leg lock he put in. After that, I was immensely impressed with sambo.

martial arts wise I'd be doing muay thai but I think I would have followed my second passion of writing & playing music and performing in theatre...A far cry from Training and competing in kyokushin but it is intersting question and discussion point. I've had this convo with people at training, and if it wan't for kyokushin most of us would never meet each other or hangout as our other interests are so varied. it's amazing how karate can bring people of everywhere & every background together.
