Thank you Sublimo for the compliments
. I was also very pleased to finally meet someone from the forum in person and that it turned out to be such a nice guy .... Sadly it wasn't an injury that prevented made me give up, but my damn asthma, which got a bit worse since I still couldn't breathe properly through my broken nose and the punches to the throats from the Lituanian woman didn't make the matter better. @ Lucy: I didn't win the tournament like you did, but it still feels pretty good to have been in that tournament even though my face hurts like hell today ![]() The whole tournament was really great. Really good organised and some really good fights; especially the woman's divisions. Really admired the way, Heike Lommer (Germany) fought in the final since she got punched into the throath in the semi-final and was injured but still kept going, eventually winning LW-Division. Loved the fight from Sonny Crockett too (too bad you lost so early, really) ;-) Now, I'm trying to find my camera and see how many good pictures my boyfriend did take ![]()

swiss open
osu,
i agree to other forumisti: this was a great tournament, on a very high level!!! the fighters from the east are very strong, the kazachian people more than lithuianians. i think about 14 or 15 countries participate on this tournament. the refs did a good job, only three or four decisions where askable (lw, like sublimo wrote; mw, decision against able dutch fighter tim haverkamp (wko); hw, decision against handicaped watannabe (wko) during the fight against swiss man hofer (ifk) ). swedish hero jimmie collin (wko) went down on a strong chudan mawashi geri from kazakhian world cup runner up leonov (wko) in the earlier round and lost on waza-ari. belgian top fighter roberto proost (ifk) lost against tokuda (wko) on a close decision, after seven minutes. so the west european men went out before half final. only s. hofer from switzerland get second place in hw, lost on a strong ushiro geri from a very able young artyushin (wko) from kazakhstan. again the super heavyweight class where not so impressive... girls: the girls from western countries did a good job and beat the eastern ladies in the earlier rounds or at the finals, so i´ll write down a little bit more of their fights. especially daniela erkelenz (wko) from sweden and the "iron lady" from germany heike lommer (wko). the two times 3rd european ladies champ daniela wins the heavyweight division beating swiss girl anita bucher (ifk), who eliminated european mw champion (2006) and runner up 2007 m. ciuplyte (wko) from lithuania, who shows conditional problems, like some others of lithuanian fighters... so daniela has won the swiss open again, after her victory in 2005! well done!!! ![]() the mw division has seen no final cause on injury of lithuanian mikstaite (wko). so pertraityte wins this decision. our helenosch (wko) lost to mikstaite in a close fight, depending on injury after first 3 minutes. your first round fight was very fine, helenosch. remember the words from the members of this forum. train hard and one time you will be the champion! you have done your first step now. ![]() dolores jaros (ifk) shows a very good technical niveau, and knocked down e. petrie from wales with a nice oroshi-kakato. lw. this very strong division saw the diamond cup winner and, in my mind, real lw-european champion, heike lommer (wko) at first place. the german girl has had a very brutal pool and a lot of raw fights. first round she beats the powerful british open winner and ec runner up canan yorulmaz (la sala tilburg/don´t know which organisation) from holland after a hard fight. don´t know how much jodan mawashis the dutch gets from heike - but she didn´t go down.. second round she beats a strong girl from kazakhstan (wko) and finally being injured in half final, she wins over pivoriunaite (wko) from lithuania after seven minutes having more condition and better techniques, f. i. an unbelivable fast jodan mawashi geri. a very good job does the young top technican swiss girl tsering bütrich gaining third place. there where many spectators, who where impressed about the tough fights especially from women classes. during some men fights it was quiet - during the ladies fights it was always very loud - very crazy and very nice. ![]() after the fights, shihan midori and sensei steinmann gave the trophees to the winners. top organized sayonara party started at 10 o´clock and ended??? ![]() OSU! Osu,
Just as a side note: Kamakura Dojo (Gordeau Shihans) is differeny from La Sala Dojo (Dooremalen Sensei). Canan Yorulmaz fights for La Sala Dojo. As far as i know, both dojo`s are also in different organisations. Osu Ksan

the seminar will start at 7.30 - one hour ago. i have to leave yesterday. depending on my job, i was not allowed to stay there and train with all the other guys under shihan midori. i´m very sad about this. ![]() it will always be a high spirited training with shihan, cause he brings a lot of kyokushin spirit into the group and always spend 120% percent by himself during a session. ![]() maybe i´ll hear sth from my friends, so i write down sth here. ![]() osu! |
