osu kimkong,

thats the second time, brian went out, depending on focusing next round. at last years european he was knocked out by an israeli heavyweight on the same reason, because he should met torok from hungary. maybe it´s the problem of killer to get him in right rails. brian is an able fighter - able to be a european champion or more. he showed it several times, f.i. at wt 2003.

How on Earth do you mind readers know that it was due to focussing on future opponents that Brian Jakobsen lost, and not simply because his opponents were better?

osu,

nothing to do with the abilities of other fighters. never would say this! read my former states - the man from costa rica is also a strong fighter. brians lost at et 2006 where simply a lucky punch - not more.

kimkong told us, brian was the better man at first round against espinoza. not more. at this time, i think kim is an experienced fighter for himself, and he could say if or if not the result was ok.

notice: any fighter at wt trained hard for himself and sb has to show respect to all of them!

Killer has retired from being national coach for Denmark, Benno Rasmussen has taken over and he was the coach for Brian at WT.

Osu Kerrigan,

I am not mind reading, I was there with Brian. Anyhow I am not disrespecting the guy from Costa Rica who did a good job and as I wrote; Brian was suprised by the strenght of him.

The tournament was amazing. Great organization and atmosphere. The level of the fights were extremly high. There are no longer any really easy fights in the WT for anyone.

I have to say that I was hoping for a more technical world champion but Tsukakoshi truely was the best these two days. Vasili Kudiakov and Romas Neterenko were the two that fighters I enjoyed the most. Some fighters didn't live up to the expectations and some exceeded them by far!

After the sayonara party the part continued in Roppongi and many fighters ended up in the same place, it was a crazy night :-P

The demo by 66 year old shihan Najiri (spelling?) was so cool. I wish I will be in that shape when I reach that age.

Osu Alan,

Were you in Roppongi to? I was there as well and yes it was a fun night, but damn the day after wasen't :-)

I agree that Tsukagoshi was the best even though i think that Valeri did deserve another round in the semi.

Osu, I was there at the tournament with canadian team.
I believe I met StarKodama san and exchanged a few words. She is very cute! (If Iam talking about same person...)
The event was just fantastic!! I really had a great time at the tournament as well as the seminner at Mt. Fuji.
I didn't know everyone went out to roppongi after the sayonara-party!
Did I miss the best part of the WT?!

Osu Satodojo-san! It was a nice coincidence to see you here on the forums, because one of my online friends just told me he's joining your dojo! You'll meet him soon!

Did we meet?!?! I don't remember saying much to the Canadian team other than escorting the fighter to the stand. Was I wearing a hot-pink bib with the Shinkyokushin logo on it?

(Well, either way, I'd like to meet you again someday... I'm from NY originally!)

Osu, Star-san, you must be kidding me. Are you originally from NY? Then you should come visit us to train when you do "sato gaeri"

I believe I met you when I was helping Koi san of Honbu to direct fighters to stay away from branch chief section at the first day of the event.
I don't remember the details of the situation, but you somehow came by to help him and the introduced yourself as an interpreter. Yes, you were wearing shocking-pink bib and you were the only one interpreter who looked like "non-Japanese." (perhaps you are "hybrid" like my daughter)
Anyway, do you admit you are very cute? If yes, you must be the lady I met at the WT.
