RE: Kick-off time

So the doors are set to open at 9am for spectators, and fighting commence at 11am.

Thanks for that 'Hasbeen' & 'Senshido'... and all the best to everyone involved. Have a great day.

Osu!

Great result for DKKC and nice to meet up with some well known names.

The Tournament was well-run and the venue superb - a good day for all.

Thanks guys! And I would love some pictures myself as in I my infinite wisdom I left both my camcorder and my camera at home!

It was a great day - really nice to catch up with hasbeen and tmd and to meet GJEChamberlain and Walshy for the first time. Bloke assures me we spoke before, but I'm so rubbish with faces (and names) I'm afraid I can't remember.

Way to go blowing my cover! My carefully crafted alias so that no one would ever find who I really am, is useless now!!

I had a great time last night at the Sayonara party! Need to do this more often, guys!

Well, i went...i saw and im impressed!!
It was great to see everyone there, so well represented and fun too. It was also a nice speech in the begining to thank the other Orgs for coming.
I must say that all the fighter did very well, and was most enjoyable. The Shinkyokushin fighters from Holland and Spain were very good and Ashihara germany were very strong too.

A great British open!!!
wELL DONE BKK!!!
OSU!!!

Have said my 'people stuff' in the other thread about the after K2 so just to add the tourney stuff;

Gheorgei you fought very well; very determined and focused, a great result for your first tourney.

Tom (from Senshi-Do) who I really like as a fighter did well - can't think who he lost out to but it would have been close as he is always pushing forward - he has great potential - have some pics to up load.

All round it was a good tournament, with some excellent fights, Don't know the results list but as an official I'm sure BLOKE took them down - as for the British fighters; Darren Stringer won the light weight, Wai Chun 3rd in the Middle and Tom Silver won the Heavyweight with a great knockout; Both Kenny Jarvis and Wai Chung went for big breaks in the Tamawasari and failing meaning they both lost fights on boards later on.

Emma Markwell showed great technique and composure (in her first non-novice tournament I think) to win the laddies lightweight against a very determined fighter from Holland who had earlier defeated an under the weather Lucy and DKKC won the heavy weight by technical knockdown both well deserved,

Again sorry to the novices, I was only watching out for Gheorgei result.

Venue was OK but lacked the atmosphere of Palace, especially as it was under artificial lights all day.

Well done BKK(IFK) British Open 2008!!
I would like to say well done to the BKK(IFK) for the great championships they held this year at the K2 arena in Crawley.

There were Kyokushin fighters representing their countries from all over Europe including Russia, Holland, Spain and Belgium.

It was also great to see fighters from other Organisations such as WKO Shinkyokushin and Ashihara Karate.

All the fighters did well in their bouts, all all there felts it was a very enjoyable and friendly atmosphere.

The fights themselves, fought in the right manor and made Kyokushin proud...

As a IKO1 MEMBER,....OSU!!! To the BKK and Hanchi for his efforts in bringing back the British open in style!!!
