Diet and cardio-wise it's good, you could just do those aspects and get the definition if you wanted. Not a big fan of most of the exercises he shows though, there's a lot of exercises out there that are killer for trunk strength.

This is one of my favorites:

This is one of my favorites:
Overhead Squat

I suspect that your definition of core strength and many peopls definition would differ.

Overhead squats got love em. But they hurt you for a couple of days afterwards. They give your body a deep muscle workout.

As I was reading that instructions I noticed how they suggested to snatch or hang snatch the barbell into position. That is kinda funney when you think about it.

Mind you Ive havent done any hang snatches for some time might been giving the central nervous system a rest. Might include some again in weight lifting. I guess they are a core strength technique as well. it is one exercise that I find energises I guess you cant really life heavy with it.

I like snatching them into position as well, or if it gets a bit too heavy, I power clean it, jerk it, then adjust my hand width from there. I agree, overworking them can bring about muscular soreness, but so can any exercise really. Once or twice a week is good if you're going heavier. I feel most people should learn with the bar and do sets of higher reps, say 10-12, so they get the feel for the movement better. I'm no great OH squatter, 70kg is my best for a single rep, but I enjoy them and see a lot of benefit in them.

I disagree with the "eat less, sweat more" philosophy.
My school of thought is "eat more, sweat even more".

In order to have the energy to have a very intensive and productive workout, you need energy, hence calories, hence FOOD!!! Not any food, obviously. The more intense your workout is, you'll find that you are hungry. Just don't overdo it.
