Studying Kyokushin
Hello, I wish to know how the translation from Jidokwan Taekwondo to Kyokushin would be? I admire how traditional your art remains after the decades wereas ive seen TaeKwonDo Degrade to a form of buisness than a way one should live his life. I was also wondering if the principles i learn and retain from Kyokushin could easily be translated back to taekwondo to create a sort of revitalization to the art.

Well, I know you'll have to learn how to kick again. Do yourself a favor and forget how you threw the TKD roundhouse. Your stance is going to be a little wider more like the muay thai/boxing stance than the side stance that is popular with TKD and most karate. This is coming from at least a year in a TKDesq karate school.

If you're in Korea, I heard TKD is undergoing a great change. It's becoming more like Kyokushin/Enshin and some schools becoming more like Daido Juko.

I would check this thread out:
http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=33982

This member, Derauslander108, is probably the most knowledgable person on TKD I know. If there is a Kyokushin school in Korea he'd know about it, but if there is a TKD school that embraces it's roots he'd know about it too.
