nice! congratz on ur kyu! u started from white belt? or u could skip some belt because of the Seido??
a curiosity what is Seido??
whats ur opinion about handstand with parther holding easy??? +-?? hard??

ty again guys for the answer!!
I started Kyokushin from white belt yes, it had been 14 years since training with Seido. I'm sure there are many more qualified people on these forums to give you a run down on the history of Seido than I... so i wont even try

Handstand with partner holding, well the difficulty level would be different for each and every person, and would also depend on the time you had to stay there for, e.g. a 70kg guy and a 120kg guy would not find it as easy as each other for a period of 2mins.

BCooks answer re the partner holding handstands is spot on.

Its not easy at first but once you get the balance and confidence it gets easier. At which point you stay up longer or try doing push-ups. Try them on seiken once you get used to the palms of your hands. Then try push ups.

about push ups in handstands position is really efective or more efective as a normal push up?? someone like to share a tought about this?? somebody tried? is good, bad?

Another question that i would like to hear what u guys thick is hand stand is safe?? (not only falling but for articulations and this kind of things also, i heard and also read in wikipedia that hand stand is considered safe what u guys thick?)

Osu, yes Seido is a style of Karate,

Re: weight making it easier, in short yes, the lighter person will find it easier over any given amount of time...

however, i believe for example if a 70kg girl and a 70kg guy were up against each other in a handstand comp the girl would most likely find it easier as its commom belief us boys are crap when compared to the natural gymnastic abilities of the fairer sex

Actually seido is a common name in martial arts. You got the the traditional okinawan style of karate "seidokan", You got Tadashi Nakamuras "World seido karate" (aka "seido juku"), you got Mr Ichii´s "seido kaikan" (aka "seidokan").
There is also a seidokan style of aikido, and one of the more well know fraudster styles, "Combat Ki", is also known as "seido juko kai".

But on this board when we say seido we either mean Nakamuras "Seido juku" karate or Mr Ichii´s Seidokaikan karate since they descend from kyokushin and competes with knockdown karate rules.

I'm from Brazil and in my dojo we do have handstances.
In fact for the black belt test one has to stay 30 seconds against the wall supported only by two fingers.
