Sanda Sparring
I found out yesterday that 3 people I know are doing Sanda Kung Fu.
Two of them are Beginners and one is doing it for five years now.

I look forward to spar with them and exchange experience and techniques.

Does someone know for what I should watch out in Sparring or something that I can learn from them what isn't in Kyokushin? As far as I know the rules are Muay Thai with Takedowns?

sanda fighters throw a lot of side kicks. and look for throws when they clinch. when you kick they will look to catch the kick to off balance their opponent. expect a lot of single and double leg pick ups.

Got in contact with a few thaiboxers too, looks like I will be able to organise a crosstrianing group =)

Is there a way to counter the clinch? Or should I try to learn clinching from them? Would be the best I think =)

About the only way to counter the clinch without learning how to clinch without taking the person to the ground is to develop a good uppercut game..if you aren't a good boxer, learn how to clinch, I'd still learn how to clinch, anyway. Neck wrestling/clinching is an art in itself. Sanda fighters throw the side kick a lot, like stated, almost how a thaiboxer uses the tiip/front push kick. If you get in a thaiboxer's clinch, my best advice starting out would be to keep your head up and don't look down...try to keep your head up and be so close to your opponent that your head is right next to their head. Once you relax your neck/head, your opponent has control...your neck will get sore at first, but it will get stronger.
