[IKO-1] Akiyoshi "Shokei" Matsui (4th World Champion)

Akiyoshi "Shokei" Matsui
ORGANIZATION: International Kyokushin Organization Kyokushinkaikan
HEIGHT: 5 feet 9 inches (175cm)
WEIGHT: 189lbs (86kg)

Known for his great timing in his techniques. A lot of great knockouts from his countering techniques, Jodan Mawashi geri and fast Ushiro Mawashi geri. Best legs sweeper I have seen.
Achieved a Black Belt in Kyokushin at age 13, one year after he had begun training. Won his first All Japan Tournament at age 22, completed the 100 man kumite at age 23, and won the World Tournament at age 24.

I'm looking at the brackets from Kyokushinresults and I'm not sure if it's an error or Onishi possibly pulled out but in the 3rd World Tournament, did Matsui lose to Yasuto Onishi only for Onishi to pull out due to injury?

Dear sokaiya,
I am sure that Matsui won by Hantei.

Discussed in this old thread

http://www.kyokushin4life.com/forums...me-change.html

Don't know that it is an authoritative explanation however, lots of speculation!
