Read in an article contained in a souvenir program (i.e., 7th World or 8th World) that Sosai Masutatsu Oyama approached the father of Kancho Kenji Midori and pleaded to have his son stop his work and focus on his Karate. Kancho Midori's father acceded.

Thus, Kancho Midori became 5th World Champion.
