Loren W. Christensen
Hi. I'm trying to find out what ryu this guy is.
All I know is that he instructs karate and is a retired cop. He's popular for creating some solo traing videos and probably more that I have not heard of. Thanks for the help. OSU! |

I have his book "Speed Training" from Paladin Press. It's a good read and has lots of helpful stuff, but really in the context of answering the question of "how can I develop awesome speed?" (which it sets out to do) the book can be summarised in two words: high reps.

Loren Christiansen is a no nonsense quality instructor. His info. is very practical for the individual who wants to set goals and improve himself/herself in the martial arts in ways which one cannot in the dojo as the instructor cannot always follow every move of every student as efficiently vs. if it was a one to one private session or if one was a competitive fighter who had a coach looking over him. His books get you to think and set realistic goals.
