How do you communicate with your students outside dojo? Do you have a discussion board online to post news & upcoming events? Or an email system to send out the latest news to your students?

Email. I've seen a few dojo forums that are almost dead because if anyone wants to say something they can just wait a day until the next class. Having said that, the Mt. Victoria dojo forum is quite big.

For the smallest students we have letters addressed to their parents that we give them at the end of the class.
For the others we use email, sms & phone to reach them. osu

The Asakusa dojo was paper handouts and verbally at the end of class.
There is a website, but I don't think that it was considered a channel for new or changing information, more of a warehouse of what happened in the past. vapor
