Osu from Philadelphia, PA - Need help finding a place

Hello, everyone! I'm new here to K4L. I've always been into martial arts since I was a kid. Although I've had many time constraints that have kept me from advancing regularly, I've never stopped training or learning new techniques. I have taken many martial arts, but, through trial and error, I found myself to be more of a Karate guy, favoring straight forward attacks over distraction and tricks.

Through regular sparring with my friends, I've started to develop a certain style of fighting that resembled KK (In fact, I thought I had invented the one two low kick combo!). When I saw some fights on the internet, I was excited to find people that fought like I did, and after learning more about Mas Oyama, I knew that I had to take this style some way or another.

The only problem seems to be location. No matter how hard I look, I cannot find a KK or knockdown dojo of any kind in Philadelphia. So thats why I'm here, to learn more about KK and to find a place or training nearby. It doesn't matter if its a world class dojo or a basement, as long as the instruction and training is good.

Good Day to everyone and once again- Osu!

Osu, welcome to the forum.
I just visited Dent-sensei's dojo in central NJ today. I think this dojo is about an hour drive from your area but I strongly recommend to visit there. Dent-sensei is amazing karate-ka not only in the field of KK but also in other martial arts.
You also can travel to NYC to visit some of the KK related dojos such as my club (see my profile for more details).

Yesterday Dent said his Dojo was prevented from opening by Ninjas and today someone just visited his Dojo? Is it a Dojo just like the mini-mall?
Dent you must honestly tell us what this is all about

Osu!

Welcome to the Forum, DerekFalkan! I hope to meet you in person, as well as hear more from you online.

As we have reached our maximum count for an Introduction, I will close this thread now.

After I satisfy kind KakatoOtoshi's curiosity a bit. (Who can resist his charm?) The Dojo that Sato-Sensei visited today is actually just the basement in my home. It is a small space that I have reserved for practicing, and occasionally I am fortunate enough to have a guest like I had today.

As you can imagine, this Dojo is not open to everyone, as it is where my family is. The Dojo I am working on is a two-car garage on the property of a close friend. This one is a little bigger, and will be open to students. Still a small group, but I think we will have the opportunity to train hard together!

Osu!
