I saw Yamaki sensei outside of the dojo last weekend and I must say he is in FANTASTIC shape. I had no idea how tall he is (6'2"?) and his build is really something else. He has no neck... !

I don't know if he ever had a nickname as a fighter, but to me he reminds me of a Japanese version of The Terminator. He was very kind when approached and even took this pic with me - my 2nd with a World Champion. 6 more to go. Osu!!

I have photos with sensei Yamaki also. In 1997 I think, he came to Romania and conducted a four day summer camp at the Black Sea.

Yanmaki is nails, he was awesome in 95 WT, esecially in the last couple of fights and agaisnt Kurosawa in the quarters.

Osu! Nice pic, smoothsake! Somewhere on the Yamaki Karate site it mentions that Yamaki still wakes up at 4AM to train. I believe it!
