66% of middle schools to start judo classes (in Japan)
Interesting little article that came out this week.
When the Fundamental Law of Education was revised in 2006 to promote curriculums "valuing tradition and culture," schools were obliged to offer both martial arts and dance classes. Currently, schools can choose to offer either martial arts or dance.
Looks like there is a push to get the martial arts side of things a moving!
Will this produce more competitive judo-ka?
Will it encourage students to stay fit?
Overlook Nothing, Regardless of its Insignificance
