Got invited for 6th kyu test!
Yesterday i got invitation in my dojo from my shihan to test for 6th kyu yellow belt on our upcoming belt test after 2 weeks. Although i have had previous experience in other dojo's as many know, i started afresh in this dojo with a white belt in january (four months ago). I feel really proud that i will jump right from white no kyu, to yellow 6th kyu at the end of this month.

yup, 4 year previous experience in kyokushin, 1 year experience in shidokan and almost a year experience at another full contact . I was hoping for maybe green, but considering how strict my currrent shihan is with belts, i am content with yellow

It's good to see that your previous experience shone through and was recognised , I'd be happy with a yellow aswell , good stuff

When i left kyokushin i was a 5th kyu and was just a month shy of my green belt grading, i was hoping atleast i would be getting my 5th kyu back at my new kyokushin dojo, considering i have had 2 year more experience in full contact after my previous kyokushin dojo, but i am actually starting one grade earlier than where i left.
But never mind, i am still happy. I love this new dojo. But seems like my goal of getting a shodan before i turn 30 would have to be postpoined a little

30 is just a number. I'm glad you are happy at your new dojo
