Swiss Ball Push Ups
Just got myself a Swiss Ball to use in my stretching and conditioning
I cannot do a proper push up with my feet on the floor and hands on the ball - has anyone else had this problem - is there a technique to it
Today working out
Put my feet on the ball and did 20 push ups turned around put my hands on the ball and could not do one - went the the floor for normal push ups and did 20 so it was not muscle fatigue
I dont know if I need to pump the ball up more or just practice the technique - I got half way down and it was like all the small stabilising muscles were not strong enough for me to carry on

Ah, love it! Try almost Shuto style, with pressing the hands in from the sides of the ball. You might also want to do a plank variation with your feet up, and holding that half-way spot.
Other fun exercises include leg lifts while squeezing the ball as hard as you can (Try holding it with a squeeze while benching); and staying on the ball, without touching the ground, for as long as you can. (This I also use for breakfall practice.)

It actually is both muscle fatigue and extreme weakness in all the small stabilizers...
Dent's advice is very good and will fry your pecs. planks and static holds are great too.
You can also jam the ball in a corner and do your push ups (it will be less taxing)
Use a chair, with one hand on the ball, and the other on the chair
in a plank position, from your knees with elbows/forearms on the ball, write every letter of the alphabet (this will fry your abs)

LOL... when it gets boring, you can spell all the techniques of every kata... that'll keep you busy for a bit

Had a good thirty minutes today trying out all the suggestions above
Has a lot of potential this and I look forward to making progress
The lack of flexibility in my wrists really shows up in somethings and I get quite a bit of pain in that area
I recommend everyone get one and give it a go

I must say less than 48 hours after my initial experimentation with the Swiss Ball my core is very tender and I did not do any specific core work
