I love Kickboxing so I'm happy. I love both Glory and It's Showtime so I'm happy about the emergence of a new super Kickboxing [even though Glory does MMA as well] I'm sad to see It's Showtime go by the wayside.

If the rumors of the K-1 Rising show are true I wouldn't be surprised if Glory buys up K-1 next.

Pretty sure showtime brought K-1 so Glory should already have the rights to K-1

Glory WS bought Its Showtime to rival K-1. From what I have heard the shows will still be called Its Showtime and they still have 2 events already in production in Tenerifeon July 21st & Japan 17th September.

Its Showtime helped K-1 Rising promote their first show (Madrid, final 16), but have no further issue or involvement with them.

The rumours of K-1 not paying their fighters again is false as far as I have read and is just a smear tactic by someone.

this should explain sort of.

The Mysterious Mr.Kim bought K-1. Simon Rutz and It's Showtime were co-promoting the Madrid show. Simon ended up footing the bill for the entire show and it turned out to be a huge money loss. Hence the sale to Golden Glory.

The K-1 USA shows have been cancelled [they were even supposed to have open tryouts at their LA show and possibly even for their NYC event in Dec]I would hate to lose K-1 again but the signs are not looking very good at the moment.

Btw. You might want to open that in Google Chrome so it can translate it from Dutch to English for you.

Osu!

I like MMA up to a point, but it pales in comparison to K-1 or Knockdown

karate for me as a fan of combat sports. I was wondering if there

are any talks of any pay per view or cable companies having a contract

with any of the World Knockdown events?

If not, I will have to figure out where the nearest Japanese video store is

near my area. There have been a few that I have frequented in the past

that have shut down.

Glory and It's Showtime usually stream their events by Internet PPV. I wish they would release their events on DVD. It would really help increase their revenue stream. Eurosport usually broadcasts them at a later date usually. They have an online Eurosport player service so if you're not in Europe you might be able to use that.

No such luck on the Karate tournaments. I have never seen a Karate tournament broadcasted. Just the occassional TKD and Judo ones on Eurosport as well.

I do believe that.... The ItsShowtime event in Tenerife is still going ahead, and also the the K-1 tryouts in the USA are also still going ahead.

It seems.... The show/s must go on!

Osu!

When K-1 stopped having its events shortly after the K-1 WGP 2010, Semmy Schilt

and Badr Hari were two of the top fighters. Remy Bonjansky, I believe had won 3-4

WGP and i believe Schilt had won 4 WGPs. Badr Hari was primed to be the next

dominant champion, but he was not able to get over the hump at that point of his

career.

It will be interesting to see the next Big Stars of the future on this new promotion.
