We are doing a Judo tournament the same day, so I figured we'd add some Karate since the mats will be there. I would like to do more, so we will see how it goes.

Thanks. We are looking to do 2 to 3 events a year. On the professional fight level. I am working with a local promoter to get some Shidokan triathlon fights scheduled before the year is out.

I might have to see about competing in this event if time and money allow. I'm always interested in competitions on this side of the U. S.

Just registered for the event!
I'm very excited and I'll try to get some of my Muay Thai brothers to compete as well.

donjitsu, are you coming to the Yoshukai Superfights next weekend in Oxford, Alabama?
If not, we will see you at the Shidokan Cup in August.

I really did want to attend that event as well. However, my gym scheduled a mandatory event the same day.
But yes, I am definitely looking forward to the Shidokan event. It'll be an honor to compete with you guys.

Website is wykko.com. I believe the flyer is posted there with the address and start times.
Tournament begins at 10am with point sparring and semi-knockdown. Knockdown weigh-ins are at noon with fighting starting directly after weigh-ins. Email me at mccullars2@gmail.com for more info. Osu!

Tomorrow we are off to the Shidokan Cup in Atlanta, Ga. I am looking forward to seeing Shidokanatlanta again and seeing some great competition.
I had originally planned on fighting tomorrow, but tweaked my groin at a tournament in Florida this past weekend. We will be taking 2 students to fight tomorrow.
Special thanks to Shidokanatlanta for hosting this event.

Best of luck to all the competitors at the Shidokan.
Shidokan events are a true test of the warrior's spirit whether
it is the knockdown or triathlon event. Great athletes from all over.
It is one of the tournaments I wished I had competed in, in my youth.
However, the circumstances at the time, did not allow me to do so.
Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun at the Sabaki Challenge for 3 years and
some other kickboxing events.
Once again, best of luck to all competitors!

I would like to thank all who supported our event this past weekend. We had a lot of judo fighters and a decent turnout for the Karate. I purposely added karate to a judo tournament to get a good turnout and allow each to see the other. My judo friends enjoyed the karate and vice versa. I thank Sensei Kelly Leo (Shidokan), Sensei Josh McCullars (World Yoshukai), and Sensei Marshall Davis (Shidokan) for their support for the Karate event.
Kid's kata
Kid's semi-knockdown
Women's Judo (novice)
Men's semi KD (intermediate)
master's semi knockdown division
Will put some bare knuckle up and more when I get the video. We had a great fight with Eric Heegaard (Shido Atl) and Josh Skinner (from NC).
