Sun & Moon, My Path of the Phoenix Way of Kyokushin Karate.
Osu,
Shihan (Kancho) Dan Soller of the Phoenix Kyokushin Organisation based in the USA has just released his latest book ... " Sun & Moon, My Path of the Phoenix Way of Kyokushin Karate"

His purpose is to get the book out to their membership and hopefully motivate them through his views of what Phoenix Karate is and should aspire to always be! He purposely limited the printing of the book to 500 copies. Once they are gone, he is not planning on reprinting as he have other projects he want to accomplish.
So, once they are gone… that’s it.
Google Phoenix if you are interested.

Thank you for the information AshiharaKaicho
LOL, the cover looks like another "The end is near" prophecy book, or a "Prepare for ritual mass suicide" sect howto booklet!...
I need to get my copy ASAP!
Osu!

You welcome. Perhaps their designer thought it would sell more, especially to those "pessimists" who are awaiting the last days ... . Dan Kancho is sending me one so I am awaiting it with anticipation. I've been fortunate that there are some that know about my "weakness" for kyokushin related books, so they keep me on their lists ...
PS. They are selling the book with a t-shirt ...
"This year Shihan Codispoti has designed Camp shirts around our historic event, The Phoenix 50. The shirts will be on sale at Camp along with my new book, Sun & Moon, My Path of the Phoenix Way of Kyokushin Karate. Both are of course, excellent!! They will be sold together for $25.00."

OSU ashiharakaicho, thanks for posting this! I used to be with the Phoenix Karatedo organization until my old instructor left and they are a great group of people. I'm definitely looking at picking up a copy.

You welcome - as you know, I always have my ear out for books, etc. I've also trained with them on one of their gasshuku's and it's like you say, they are a great group of people.
Just wondering why "Cathy Melanson" who signed up here not so long ago is so quiet ... hint-hint!

Good, easy read.
I've been with the association for some time now and found the book to be a good read. I feel like I may have heard everything in the book over the years, but it's nice to have it all in one resource.
While we, in Phoenix, will of course find the book very useful; I'm curious to hear what those from other organizations think.

I was just going to ask if this had something to do with the KK school in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Thanks for posting - good to be able to draw or solicit some input from those who might otherwise be lurking or just in reading mode. Nothing beats putting down things in writing for posterity sake. Otherwise what would we be doing more so as the older masters are passing away.
I will let you know when mine arrives. Soller Kancho sent me one, but the US Postal authorities returned it even though he had my address correct - dang, now its a longer wait ... - but it makes it all the worthwhile when it eventually arrives.

Try http://www.msmary.edu/student-life/c...ion/index.html - you can contact Kancho Soller that way.

Osu,
Got my copy on Friday and have started skimming through it - just a quick opinion in that it is well presented and is in the format of a question and answer manner. The book deals specific with the Phoenix organisation and their vision.
More once I've given it a good read.
