Iranian female ninjas suing Reuters over report: state TV
Iran's female martial artists want to showcase their fighting skills — in court.
Please see - http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/n...-report-state-
And then something of further interest ...
Japanese man may be "last Ninja" - 63-year-old former engineer among the last practitioners of ancient Japanese martial art - please see http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/g...-be-last-ninja
Not sure where Hatsumi Sensei fits in with this - but in the Iranian dojo they have a picture of him.

I concur - I've first read of Hatsumi Sensei some some years ago and then a bit later of Shoto Tanamura - so anyone else ... well, that is very ninja-ish ..

Knowing of both and having trained with Dr. Hatsumi in the past I can testify to his brilliance and would classify him as a living legend and would also say his depth of knowledge is out of this world .

I know a few people who trained with him and hope that someday I can before he passes on - they all testify to his skills and also his absolute humbleness.

Yes AK absolute humbleness comes to those masters who have supreme confidence in their abilities and have nothing to prove .

I just wish we had more of them ... I must relate someday how happy I was sparring with Morio Higoanna to some senior Japanese instructors of other styles that tried to "beat" me up. Higaonnna Sensei was a gentleman - supremely confident in his abilities with no need to show that he was the guy ...

You sparred with Morio Higaonna??? Now, how awesome can it possibly get?? Please be so kind as to share more information about that, OK? How was it? Which techniques did he use to which effect? How would you describe his style? Where did he hurt you most? Na, forget the last question, but any information would be highly appreciated. He's a living legend, and since I am probably not ever going to meet him in person any first hand experience shared by you would be highly appreciated. I'm a fan-boy, you see...

Why not? He is very approachable.
Usually, fan boys go to every extent to meet their idols... you have to hurry up while he is still there!

Sitting at Durban Airport - tired as I haven't slept to finish work before I leave - arrived here at 8.05 and waiting for a colleague before we go in to town. Thoroughly bushed and in need of a catnap ...
It was at the 1990 European Summer Camp held in Holland. That's where I met the late Harry de Spa and after the camp visited and stayed over with him.
The camp was interesting- lots of new things, new focusing on padwork, elbow strikes ala thaiboxing and so on. Some of my comments made it into the Dutch magazine - "KOA - Karate en Andere Oosterse Vechtsporte" and it was concurred by Haary de Spa.
My colleague has just arrived so gotta go - will post more later.

Sure, should he ever be here in northern Germany, I'd surely go and try to meet... but going to Okinawa is out of the question.

Back to topic: I've got nothing to add really but to state that the thread title reminds me of 70s B-movie, like "Iranian female ninjas attack New York" or "Iranian female ninjas on the moon"...
