Like I said previously I would like to think she would have been up front with something like that. The only thing we've heard is that her and her fiancé broke up.

I would to think there us but when we're stone walled directly and we're hearing that she's not interested anymore. It makes any person expect the worst.

If you want to think I'm selfish that is your business. I don't think its selfish after investing time and money into the classes [and org] to want a straight answer about what's going on. Respect is one of the tenets of what's she's teaching. I don't think its too much to ask that she show some herself. She came back after 3 months after saying she was leaving forever. And is walking around town like nothing happened. I do think I [and probably others too] have a right to be upset about this.

A real perspective from a student. Sometimes we can get lost on the other side of the fence, and feel instructor pressures, forgetting student pressures. An interesting opportunity.

I don't understand what you actually want. I thought you have a straight and plain answer. She had to leave the country and closed down the class. She let everyone know and did that. Is that frustrating? Sure. Disappointing? Sure. Do you have the right to be upset the class is discontinued? Sure you do. Does she have the right to stop teaching? Yes. Why did she have to leave? Was she okay? I don't know.

She came back to Ireland. She has said she is not re-starting the class she discontinued. Seems like a straight answer to me. She's not leading anyone on to think perhaps the class might get going again. It's a clear and definitive answer. She is not re-starting the class. What do you want from her now? Is what you want for her to hang her head in shame and somehow offer penance? Or is the decision to keep the class closed just unacceptable to you? What is the "straight" answer you are looking for? And after all this, I still maintain we don't know what happened to this person and she perhaps deserves the benefit of doubt as a fellow human being.

I would like a little thing called the truth. Unless her and her boyfriend/fiancé or whatever their status is have been living under a rock they have to know the prevailing rumor is that she only closed down because they broke up [His Brother is the one putting that out there. So you would figure they would want to clear that up very quickly]Leaving that out there as the reason she closed down the club [and keeping it closed] makes her looks selfish and immature. Pure High School Drama.

Another view is that someone is spreading rumors about her. She has no responsibility to counter such nonsense. And it's the rumor-monger that is immature. But I also agree this all sounds like immature high school drama.

I can also understand why you'd like a satisfactory reason, especially when the closing is so upsetting and disappointing. Nevertheless, I think the truth (and the answer) is that the dojo is closed -- and that will not likely change. Even if it does, you'd have to take past events into consideration when deciding to join.

I wish you luck in finding a good and dependable place to train.

I do agree that the Brother is/was Immature for putting that out there. Especially if they aren't true. This definitely could have been handled alot better than it was.
