In the super featherweight final in "REBELS 12" on 7/29, Shiratori Taiju will be fighting an opponent from the gym of Fujiwara Toshio.

At the age of 11, Shiratori appeared in a popular variety show and challenged fighters from Sanshou and Muay Thai. After that he converted to kickboxing and became a pro last year in February. Now 16, he holds a record of 4 wins 2 losses.

If you are asking about their personal friendship I of course do not know, but Shiratori Taiju is now affiliated with a certain kickboxing gym and no longer Kyokushin.

He could compete in kickboxing for the Ichigeki team. What's happen ?

I do not know and do not want to find out. And I do not think something needed to happen.
He was (and is) just a kid. No one cares why a kid switched to a kickboxing gym (or basketball). It is none of my business.

There are Matsuiha people fighting in local kickboxing events representing Kyokushinkaikan but there are no more Ichigeki events for an "Ichigeki Team" in Japan(there are Ichigeki goods though).

Here in Brasil, still have Ichigeki events. About Shiratoti, yep, he is just a kid. Let him choose what he want.

So. How did it go?
I have tried to search for the results, but I cannot see any super-featherweight results or Shiratori Taiju´s name. It is listed in the pre-fight lineup, but I cannot find it in the results. Was it cancelled?
