I am a big fan of Brazil.
The footwork, dribbling tricks of Ronaldinho (and many other top Brazilian players) remind me of the cutting-edge techniques of Brazilian karatekas.
And
Pelé = Filho (the all-time best player)
Ronaldinho = Teixeira (the current best player plus the long hair that moves in the action plus the smile)

What a game, dodgy descision that first goal for japan, but Australia came good in the end. IMO the best game of the cup so far

My brother in Law is an Australian Citizen (Irish by Birth - but we didnt qualify) so I will be backing Australia. As for Englands win it was a good reslut against a difficult team. However I think that Trinidad and Tobago will be a bigger challenge than first supected after seeing them against Sweden.

Sorry Daisukey but I cant see Japan troubling Croatia and then they have Brazil after that. I am afraid that the match against Australia was there best chance of scoring any points.

It will be better for Australia if Japan and Croatia draw, and both of them loose to brazil. I'm too ethusiastic about Australia's Defence holding up to Brazil though

Togo were unlucky in some ways - South Korea are not as good as four years ago.

I think Dim is right and would love to see Australia go through in second but it depends on a better performance from Japan against Croatia.

Australia's coach will be leading the Russian soccer team after this World Cup :>
but I still hope Japan kicks both Croatia and Brazil's ass. Osu.

Osu kaka-san(easy to call, kakatootoshi), I heard that Ronaldiho played reasonably well in the game vs Croatia. Ronaldo and the other FW didn't play well as expected. Osu.

Dear daisukey,
Croatia did well and I think in the second half they actually was putting immense pressure on Brazil. Croatia needs more accuracy and after all the goalkeeper of Brazil is very good, who blocked some very close attacks.

OSU!

Looks like Germany and Ecuador are the first through to the Last 16. First time ever for Ecuador past the group stages.

Its nil all so far, if can keep their defence organised they might be able to pull off a draw, maybe even a win

So Japan are out but Australia go through at the expense of Croatia which is a surprise. I am off to Italy tommorow for two weeks so Im looking forward to the Italy Vs Australia game on monday - should be a great occasion.

But its the Brazil Vs Ghana second round match that catches the eye - not sure if an upset is on the cards but I dont see the brazilians having it all their own way.
