Sweet tooth a fatal flaw
Some people may find this article interesting.
Quote:
It won't be welcomed by sweet-toothed new Zealanders, but research has shown how a diet high in sugar can cause health damage even when a person is not overweight.
Signs of impaired heart functioning were seen in mice that were fed a sugar-rich for just 12 weeks, as part of a study conducted at the University of Melbourne.

Very interesting. I've been writing a lot of articles for a diabetes website recently and so I've done some research on the effects of sugar on the body. It certainly made me think twice about eating the 'healthy' low fat option because of the high sugar content.

Yeah, you don't have to be fat to be unhealthy, and just because you are not fat, doesn't mean that eating bad for you crap has no effect. I can't believe they needed to do a study to make people realize this? Heh.

But it is Saturday today.
Sweets eaten on Saturdays doesn't count.
That is why I am at the moment eating my weekly portion of sweets.

Osu!
Sugar is definitely very bad stuff, but the corn syrup/fructose substitute may even be worse. Best to keep away from them both... :/

Sadly I am one of those "sweet-tooth New Zealanders"!
Although I eat fairly well, lollies are my one weakness! Gummy Bears after a hard kumite session taste five times better!
Oh Polarbearfighter I love your theory, I could definitly use that one :-D
